Trips/Visits

Each class goes on a trip out of school every half term. We believe that learning outside the classroom is a valuable way to use and apply new skills. Additionally, we regularly invite people into school to talk to the children. These have recently included Manchester Museum staff, Steel Drum teachers, Police Community Support Officers and the Fire Service.

Planners and Reading Journal

Every pupil has an individual homework planner and reading journal. Parents/ Carers are encouraged to communicate with school staff through these journals if they are unable to come into school personally. Important information (including any homework set) should be recorded in the planner, which is checked regularly by your child's class teacher.

 Class Newsletters

These are sent home regularly to inform parents/ carers about what the children will be learning. We encourage parents to talk with their children about what they are learning at school. The newsletters will also let you know how you can help your child at home.
